[CNMO News] Recently, CNMO noticed that, according to the German Business Daily, Truss is being investigated by German and Dutch authorities due to possible data privacy issues. It is reported that the investigation involves the company's automated driving assistance products. Currently, Tesla's lawyers have revealed that the company suspects former employees as whistleblowers.

Based on the information previously reported by relevant media, the privacy data includes thousands of complaints about autopilots between 2015 and March 2022, as well as confidential information and customer data of over 100000 employees. According to the report, former Tesla employees have expressed concerns about accessible data from countries such as Russia to data protection agencies in Brandenburg, Germany.

It is worth mentioning that in April of this year, it was revealed that Tesla could share private information about its car users internally, such as their residence location. Former Tesla employees revealed that during 2019-2022, Tesla's internal team often shared videos and images recorded by customers' on-board cameras in the internal message system, including some videos of car accidents and customers' road rage.

Although Tesla guarantees its car owners that user privacy is "very important to us now and always," and also points out on their website that the built-in driving assistance camera in the vehicle is "designed to protect your privacy. But seven former employees revealed that the computer programs they use at work can display the location of recordings, which may reveal the residence of Tesla car owners.

In addition, Tesla has also been investigated by Dutch data protection agencies due to privacy breaches, who believe that Tesla's "Sentinel Mode" will capture people close to the vehicle and retain this data for a long time.
