On May 31st, IT Home reported that less than a week before Apple's World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple posted a blog article on its developer website, hinting at the upcoming RealityPro headworn device, inviting developers to follow and learn how to "Code new worlds".The slogan "Encoding a New World" was only used by Apple today, clearly implying a new software platform

On May 31st, IT Home reported that less than a week before Apple's World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple posted a blog article on its developer website, hinting at the upcoming RealityPro headworn device, inviting developers to follow and learn how to "Code new worlds".

The slogan "Encoding a New World" was only used by Apple today, clearly implying a new software platform. It is expected that the RealityPro headset device to be released at the WWDC conference will run xROS, which is a brand new software platform for developers.

The term 'new world' may also refer to the use of virtual reality technology to create immersive experiences, such as games, content, etc. This may remind you of the 'metaverse', but Apple CEO Tim Cook has expressed his disgust with the term. In an interview last year, Cook said, 'I'm not sure ordinary people can tell you what a metaverse is.' Apple marketing executive Greg Joswiyak also responded to Cook's view a month later, saying that 'metaverse' is a word he will never use.

According to media reports such as TheInformation, xROS will include the ability for anyone to use Siri to create so-called AR "applications" without having to start from scratch. This is similar to the functionality already provided by Meta, such as the Quest header displaying an application called HorizonWorlds that allows users to build 3D "environments and worlds" without encoding.
