Exposed Snapdragon 8Gen4 will use TSMC's 3nm process technology for Xiaomi 15 or its debut

At the Snapdragon Technology Summit held recently, Qualcomm released a large amount of information, including AI, Snapdragon XElite PC chipsets, and more. At the summit, Qualcomm also announced that the Oryon core will be applied to smartphone chipsets by 2024. The company did not disclose further details, but hinted that OryonCPUs would be applied to the Snapdragon 8Gen4 chipset. The recently released Snapdragon 8Gen3 chipset still uses the ArmCPU core. And the next chip set worth looking forward to is none other than Snapdragon 8Gen4. Previously, there were reports that the Snapdragon 8Gen4's performance would be 40% higher than the 8Gen3.

Recently, Mobile China learned that according to reliable sources, the Snapdragon 8Gen4 chipset and Tianji 9400 chipset will use TSMC's 3nm process technology. In addition, the source also stated that the Snapdragon 8Gen4 will adopt a self-developed architecture, which means that the Oryon core will become a part of the chipset. The user further wrote in the comment section that the Snapdragon 8Gen4 had two versions before, Oryon and ARM, but now there will be no ARM reference core. According to relevant reports, Xiaomi 15 or Samsung S25Ultra may adopt Snapdragon 8Gen4 chipset. Based on past circumstances, there is a high possibility that Xiaomi 15 will launch this chip for the first time.
