Wang Teng noted that the chip is the most expensive component in a smartphone, and the current market price for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is around $330. As a result, it would be impossible for the Redmi Turbo 3 to be priced below $290.
Last year, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 7+ chip, had a starting price of $288. In contrast, the Redmi Turbo 3 will start with a 12GB + 256GB configuration, which is an upgrade over the Note 12 Turbo's 12GB + 512GB version that launched at $333.
