Apple Intelligence Feature Delayed, iPhone 16 Series Launch Still on Track

According to Bloomberg's well-known reporter Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter, the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence feature will be delayed, but the annual flagship iPhone 16 series launch will still proceed as planned.

Previous reports suggested that the iPhone 16 series would be unveiled next month. Following Apple's usual pattern, the new iPhone launch event typically takes place on the eighth day after Labor Day in the US, leading to speculation that it might be held on Tuesday, September 10th, with a release date of September 20th.

Gurman stated that most of the Apple Intelligence features will be pushed back to the official release of iOS/iPadOS 18.1 in October, while the iPhone 16 series will launch as scheduled in September. Currently, some Apple Intelligence features are already available for testing in the latest iOS 18.1 Beta, such as "Call Recording."

After upgrading to this version, when making a phone call, a small voice recording button appears in the upper left corner. Clicking it expands the button, allowing you to tap "Record." It's worth noting that the person on the other end of the call will hear a prompt saying, "This call is being recorded." After the call ends, the recording files (.m4a) from both parties and a summarized text generated by Apple Intelligence will be stored in the iPhone's Notes app.

The addition of this feature undoubtedly brings greater convenience to users, allowing them to easily record important call content. However, although Apple Intelligence is already in the testing phase, Apple has yet to announce any mainland China partners, raising curiosity about the future application of this feature in the domestic market.

Currently, the specific functions and application scenarios of Apple Intelligence have not been fully disclosed.
