According to Weibo blogger @Digital Chat Station, phones equipped with the Dimensity 9400 processor are expected to launch before those with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. Previous reports have indicated that the vivo X200 series will be the first to feature the Dimensity 9400 chip.
The blogger also revealed that the OPPO Find X8 series is also progressing quickly, with production already planned. This suggests that vivo's early launch window may not be as substantial as initially thought.
The Dimensity 9400 chip is reportedly manufactured using TSMC's second-generation N3 process. It features one Cortex-X5 ultra-core, three Cortex-X4 large cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores, with the X5 ultra-core clocked at approximately 3.4GHz.
As a reference, Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit 2024 is scheduled for October 21-23, where the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be unveiled. This means phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will likely debut in late October at the earliest.
If the rumors are accurate, phones equipped with the Dimensity 9400 chip would launch several months before those with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
