Digital blogger "Digital Chat Station" has revealed that the Redmi K80 series will debut in November, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 platform. This will be one of the first flagship models to feature the latest chip. Reportedly, the Redmi K80 series will adopt Huaxing's new generation 2K straight screen, making it one of only two Snapdragon 8 Gen4 flagship models with a 2K straight screen (iQOO 13 is also 2K).
- In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 utilizes Qualcomm's self-developed Oyron CPU, with all cores dedicated to performance, including 24.09GHz super large cores + 62.78GHz large cores. It integrates the Adreno 830 GPU and is manufactured with TSMC's 3nm process, significantly enhancing performance and energy efficiency. Benchmark tests show the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 engineering model achieves a single-core score of 2884 and a multi-core score of 8840, making it the most powerful mobile chip in the Android camp. As a comparison, the Apple A17 Pro's Geekbench 6 score is 2980 for single-core and 7850 for multi-core.
The Redmi K80 series will be equipped with a large-sensor main camera, a vertical telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide angle lens, making it expected to become the new flagship "door-closing champion".
The inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 in the Redmi K80 series signifies Redmi's continued push into the high-end market. Its 2K straight screen, powerful performance, and excellent camera configuration make it one of the most anticipated flagship phones of the year.
