Recently in New Mexico, USA, architect Bryan Berg successfully built the tallest Guinness-certified house of cards to date, setting a record for the highest number of floors built in 8 hours 54 floors. Even more impressive, Bryan Berg placed an Honor MagicV3 phone on top of this towering house of cards.

This challenge was extremely difficult as houses of cards are highly sensitive to weight, with any weight potentially affecting their structural stability. The Honor MagicV3 successfully overcame this challenge, becoming the only foldable phone able to be placed stably on the Guinness-certified tallest house of cards. This is not only the best testament to the Honor MagicV3's thin and light design but also a reflection of Honor's significant breakthrough in foldable technology.

According to the Guinness World Record rules, this challenge required using standard playing cards, without any adhesives, to build the tallest possible house of cards within 8 hours. After completion, the house of cards must be independently stable and remain upright for 10 minutes. Previously, the record for the tallest house of cards was 50 floors.

Bryan Berg said he felt confident that the challenge could be achieved because the Honor MagicV3 is very light. In fact, the Honor MagicV3 weighs only 226g and has the industry's thinnest folded thickness of 9.2mm and 4.35mm unfolded thickness. This is due to Honor's innovative and first-of-its-kind thin and light foldable screen solution Honor Luban Architecture.

Drawing inspiration from the wisdom of the ancient Chinese Zhao Zhou Bridge, Honor Luban Architecture features an arch bridge-like swing arm design. It also uses aerospace-grade special fiber bodies, second-generation Honor Shield steel, and a folding hinge touted as "the thinnest to date" at just 2.84mm thick, capable of withstanding 500,000 folds.

Beyond its thin and light design, the Honor MagicV3 is also equipped with a third-generation Qinghai Lake battery. This battery features an industry-first silicon content exceeding 10% and boasts the industry's highest battery-to-body volume ratio of 24.7%, boosting battery capacity to 5150mAh with an average thickness of just 2.6mm.

Honor's leading position in foldable screen technology has been evident for a year now. In 2022, Honor launched the MagicV2 foldable phone, featuring the industry's thinnest closed thickness of 9.9mm. At the time, Honor CEO Zhao Ming said, "Honor is poised to lead the industry in thin and light innovation by 8-10 months." He predicted that even if competitor engineers completely disassembled the Honor MagicV2, absorbed its technology, and replicated it, it would still take at least half a year to catch up with Honor's pace.

Now, the launch of the Honor MagicV3 once again confirms Honor's leading position in foldable technology. Its thin and light design, powerful performance, and ultra-long battery life make the Honor MagicV3 a leader in thin and light foldable phones.

The Honor MagicV3's ability to stand securely on top of the 54-story house of cards built by Bryan Berg is not only a testament to its light and thin design but also reflects Honor's continuous innovation and breakthroughs in foldable technology. In the future, we can expect Honor to continue leading the development of foldable screen technology, bringing users an even thinner, more powerful, and more convenient foldable phone experience.
