The new desktop-grade microarchitecture offers three key advantages: ultra-high frequency, superior performance, and ultra-low power consumption. Lu emphasized that this will be "the most significant leap in performance experience ever." He stated that after three years of in-depth joint development, coupled with comprehensive system kernel optimization, Xiaomi will deliver a groundbreaking upgrade, signaling an impending turning point in the chip industry landscape.
Following past trends and previous leaks, it's anticipated that Lu Weibing is referring to the Xiaomi 15 series, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit 2024 has been officially scheduled for October 21-23, where manufacturers utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be unveiled in succession.
According to blogger @DigitalChatStation's August revelations, the vivo X200 series, OPPO Find X8 series, Xiaomi 15 series, OnePlus 13, iQOO 13, Realme GT7 Pro, Redmi K80 series are all confirmed to launch between October and November. The Honor Magic7 series and new Huawei models are also tentatively scheduled for November.
Furthermore, the blogger disclosed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 currently boasts a maximum frequency of 4.37GHz for its largest core, while the Dimensity 9400 clocks in at 3.66GHz.
