The teardown revealed that the iPhone 16 Pro's logic board has been redesigned, boasting a smaller size and more densely packed components compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. The newly designed logic board utilizes a larger metal enclosure, likely implemented for managing the heat generated by the A18 Pro chip. Engineers may have reduced the size of the logic board to accommodate a larger battery.
