Huawei officially announced at its autumn full-scenario product launch conference that the HarmonyOS NEXT system will open for public beta on October 8th. The first batch of compatible devices will be the Mate60/X5 series smartphones and the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch series tablets, also the earliest to participate in the Beta recruitment. Users can apply for the upgrade through the "My Huawei" app - "Upgrade Preview".
Yu Chengdong also invited public beta users to provide feedback and suggestions through the "My Huawei" app - "HUAWEI Community," to jointly participate in the improvement and development of HarmonyOS, and to build and share the new world of HarmonyOS together.
Dubbed "Pure HarmonyOS," HarmonyOS NEXT is a fully self-developed system base by Huawei, completely breaking away from traditional AOSP code. It only supports HarmonyOS kernel and HarmonyOS applications, becoming a truly Chinese-originated and independently controllable operating system.
