iQOO 13 is Coming Soon: BOE's Latest Luminous Material for a Straight-Screen Experience Upgrade
The upcoming flagship model of iQOO, the iQOO 13, has been frequently exposed in recent days, and the official has also begun to warm up for its launch. @GoBlueV, product manager of iQOO, revealed that the iQOO 13 will be equipped with a high-end 2K straight screen, as well as the latest generation of luminous materials from BOE, achieving a comprehensive breakthrough in display effects, eye protection technology, and control experience. Official preheating states that the screen of iQOO 13 is invincible, delivering a clear, eye-protecting, smooth, and comfortable experience whether it's day or night, indoors or outdoors.
Furthermore, another official preheating mentioned that the screen of iQOO 13 is even more Pro than the Pro version, emphasizing the advantages of a straight-screen form. The official claims that they have achieved two black technologies on the screen, making the iQOO 13 screen unique in its class.
It is reported that the iQOO 13 will be the first in the world to feature BOE's latest generation of luminous materials. Compared to the previous generation, the overall peak brightness has increased by 12.5%, the lifespan has been extended by 33%, power consumption has been reduced by 10%, and color deviation in extreme temperature environments has been reduced by over 50%.
Besides upgrades in the screen, the iQOO 13 will also see improvements in other hardware configurations. According to leaks, the iQOO 13 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen4 flagship platform, with a 6-series silicon battery and support for 120W super-fast charging. The new generation of Snapdragon 8 Gen4 (also rumored as Snapdragon 8 Elite) uses a 2+6 architecture design, with two super-large cores clocked at 4.32GHz and 6 large cores clocked at 3.53GHz, a significant increase compared to the 3.3GHz of the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen3.
In terms of imaging, the iQOO 13 will feature a 50MP IMX921 main camera + 50MP S5KJN1 ultra-wide-angle lens + 50MP IMX826 telephoto lens on the rear, supporting 2x optical zoom. Compared to the iQOO 12's 1/1.31-inch OmniVision VCSOV50H sensor main camera, 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens (supporting 3x optical zoom), and 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 sensor ultra-wide-angle lens, the iQOO 13 has also upgraded its imaging configuration.
Other configurations include a metal frame + glass body, single-point ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, large-size X-axis linear motor, and IP68 dust and water resistance.
It's worth mentioning that the iQOO 13 will only come in a standard version model, with no Pro version, and the design is not much different from its predecessor. Currently, this new phone has passed all certifications, all three certificates are complete, which means it is getting closer to its official launch.
Looking back at the iQOO 12, it was officially released last November, starting at 3999 yuan. It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K straight screen with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, equipped with a self-developed esports chip Q1, built-in equivalent 5000mAh battery, and supports 120W super-fast charging.
It is believed that with the official release of the iQOO 13, iQOO will further demonstrate its competitiveness in the high-end smartphone market and bring users a more outstanding experience.
