IT Home, October 10th - According to X platform blogger @Teme, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra flagship and Find N5 foldable phone are set to launch in the first quarter of next year. While Find N5 initially experimented with a quad-camera setup during testing, it seems to be reverting to the current three-camera configuration.
OPPO's Find X8 series, confirmed for launch on October 24th, will be the first to sport the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor and ColorOS 15. Official details regarding the Ultra variant are yet to be revealed by OPPO.
In July, Zhou Yi-bao, the head of OPPO's Find product line, shared a video hinting that the Find X8 Ultra would be thinner than its predecessor, the Find X7 Ultra (9.5mm), with a less prominent camera bump. In the comments section of a video where Zhou Yi-bao interviewed product managers, he addressed user feedback regarding the back cover material of the Ultra series, stating that a material change was "no problem."
In September, blogger @Experience more hinted that the OPPO Find N5 was on track to be the first large-screen foldable phone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for extreme performance). This signifies that the device's launch is imminent. The new flagship Snapdragon platform is confirmed to be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit on October 22-24th (Beijing time).
