Xiaomi's First Snapdragon 4s Gen2 Phone is Coming to India, Possibly a Redmi 13 Series Device
Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 4s Gen2 chipset in July, targeting the budget 5G segment. Xiaomi had announced it would be the first to bring a smartphone powered by this SoC, and now, the mystery device is finally about to be unveiled. The first Snapdragon 4s Gen2-powered smartphone is set to be launched at the India Mobile Congress 2024 on October 16, suggesting that India will be the first market to receive it.
While the exact model remains under wraps, considering the Snapdragon 4s Gen2's focus on affordability, we speculate that it's likely a Redmi phone, possibly a member of the Redmi 13 series. The Redmi 13C is already available in India for under 10,000 Indian rupees, but it's powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Therefore, this new Snapdragon 4s Gen2 variant could be a Redmi 13C sibling.
Although further details about the phone are still elusive, its launch is undoubtedly eagerly awaited. As the first Snapdragon 4s Gen2-powered smartphone, it will offer users a more price-effective 5G experience, further enriching Xiaomi's smartphone portfolio in the Indian market.
