IT Home, October 13th - Today, iQOO product manager @GoBlueV revealed that the iQOO 13 smartphone will support offline communication. Previously, the vivo X200 series confirmed it would be the first to feature offline communication technology exceeding 1.5 kilometers.
At the 2024 vivo Developer Conference held on October 10th, vivo introduced that the relay capabilities of communication relay technology can double the maximum transmission distance for SOS text broadcasts. This kilometer-level offline communication technology will debut on the X200 series in the form of a walkie-talkie application. Some original system 5 models will also gradually roll out this feature during the public beta period.

IT Home learned from official sources that in extreme environments with no network or signal, the kilometer-level offline communication of the vivo X200 series, through Bluetooth connection, can achieve point-to-point, long-distance communication. This technology supports SOS text broadcasts, one-on-one voice and text walkie-talkies, and map location display. This technology can be applied to scenarios such as outdoor exploration, scientific expeditions, and disaster relief.
