OnePlus 13 is Coming: Performance, Screen, and Battery Life Upgrades, Price May Change
While the official release date for the OnePlus 13 series hasn't been announced yet, various leaks suggest the highly anticipated new phone is just around the corner. As the release date draws near, more details about the OnePlus 13 are gradually emerging.
Recently, it was reported that the OnePlus 13 has passed multiple certifications and will feature a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front camera. It will also support 5G/4GLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity. Earlier, the rear camera configuration of the OnePlus 13 was also revealed. It is said to adopt a centered large circle deco design, equipped with a LYT808 main camera + 50MP IMX882 ultra-wide-angle lens + 50MP IMX8823X periscope lens, and will support Hasselblad Master Imaging.
In terms of core specifications, the OnePlus 13 will be powered by the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 flagship platform, delivering a powerful performance experience for users. Meanwhile, a OnePlus new phone model CPH2653 recently appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with a single-core score of 2986 and a multi-core score of 8799. It runs on an Android 15-based operating system and is equipped with 16GB of storage. The outside world generally speculates that this new phone is the upcoming OnePlus 13.
Regarding storage specifications, it has been reported that OnePlus has tested a 24GB + 1TB storage scheme, but the actual configuration remains to be officially announced. Additionally, the OnePlus 13 will support IP68/69 dust and water resistance, be equipped with a 0916T motor, and significantly increase the battery capacity to 6000mAh, with an estimated 100W fast charging support.
It is worth mentioning that the OnePlus 13 will be the first to feature the ColorOS 15 system. This system uses natural light and shadow design language as its core, equipped with two self-developed smooth dual engines, the Aurora Engine and Tide Engine, and integrates the new Xiaobu Assistant to achieve system-level AI capabilities. It deeply integrates into the system core, linking self-owned applications and third-party applications, naturally understanding user intentions and replacing users in executing various operations.
The OnePlus 13 will also feature the second-generation Oriental Screen, the world's first DisplayMate A++ screen. This screen has made significant breakthroughs in display quality, strong light visibility, eye protection capabilities, and smooth touch control, creating 21 new DisplayMate certification records. The second-generation Oriental Screen uses a custom-made X2 light-emitting material and self-developed screen chip P2, along with a self-developed display science production line, and is the first to debut the only "Sun Display" technology on Android, significantly enhancing outdoor visibility. This screen also uses outdoor color appearance model reconstruction and cone cell activation enhancement to adapt to more outdoor scenes, balancing visibility and power consumption.
As the first 2K screen in the industry to receive the Rheinland Intelligent Eye Protection 4.0 certification, the second-generation Oriental Screen also pays great attention to the eye protection experience of users. Mingmu Eye Protection 2.0 enhances human eye comfort and visibility, reducing fatigue and eye damage. Full brightness class DC, under the class DC dimming mode, has lower color deviation, higher purity, and better uniformity. Mingmu Low-frequency Flash 2.0 uses a 3Pulse dimming strategy for better fluency and compatibility for eye protection. Additionally, the second-generation Oriental Screen also features self-developed adaptive high refresh rate technology, using the latest 8TLTPO screen circuit technology to achieve multi-scenario and multi-level screen refresh rates, as well as self-developed local high refresh rate. Different areas on the same screen have different refresh rates, matching more precisely for a smoother visual experience and operation.
Overall, the OnePlus 13 will focus on performance, screen, and battery life, offering users a better user experience. However, as the official price hasn't been announced yet, whether the price of this new phone will change remains to be seen. Of course, considering the lack of official information currently, the actual situation remains to be verified later.
