Ethereum dropped over 4.7%, and over 147,000 accounts were liquidated in the past 24 hours. CME Bitcoin futures declined 2.30% compared to Thursday's New York close, accumulating a weekly loss of 3.09%.
Stocks linked to cryptocurrencies also saw a collective dip. MARA Holdings plummeted nearly 7% at one point, while Riot Platforms fell over 5%. The University of Michigan's one-year inflation expectations for October reached 2.7%, matching the preliminary reading and the final reading for September.
NYSE Arca Announces Major Trading Schedule Adjustment
The New York Stock Exchange announced plans to extend its NYSE Arca stock exchange trading hours to 22 hours daily. The NYSE, part of Intercontinental Exchange, stated that the new extended trading hours for its fully electronic platform, NYSE Arca, will be from 1:30 AM to 11:30 PM ET, Monday to Friday.
