Samsung Galaxy S25+ GeekBench 6 Score Leaked: Exynos 2500 Processor Performance Unveiled
Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ phone, model SM-S936B, was spotted on the GeekBench 6 database. This phone is expected to be powered by Samsung's self-developed Exynos 2500 processor. The leaked benchmark scores reveal that the Exynos 2500 processor excels in single-core performance but still lags behind the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple A18 chips.
According to the benchmark data, the Exynos 2500 processor comprises four core groups: one 3.3GHz super-core, two 2.75GHz and five 2.36GHz mid-cores, and two 1.8GHz small cores. The GPU is the Samsung Xclipse 950. In the GeekBench 6 test, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ scored 2359 points in the single-core test and 8141 points in the multi-core test.
Compared to the previous generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3, the Exynos 2500 offers a slight advantage in single-core performance, with a score of 2359 points compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3's 2246 points. However, in multi-core performance, the Exynos 2500 falls behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, with scores of 8141 and 6493 respectively.
It's worth noting that while the Exynos 2500 surpasses the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 in single-core performance, it still lags significantly behind Apple's A18 chip. The Apple A18 chip scores an impressive 3293 points in single-core performance and 8119 points in multi-core performance, significantly outperforming both the Exynos 2500 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen3.
Earlier reports suggest that Samsung's 3nm process yield is below 20%, which might discourage Samsung executives from mass-producing the Exynos 2500 chip with such low yield rates. Therefore, the S25 series might adopt the high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite across the board. However, the appearance of the Exynos 2500 version of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ suggests that the series might still offer phones equipped with Samsung's self-developed Exynos chips.
Although the Exynos 2500 processor may fall short of top-tier chips from Qualcomm and Apple in terms of overall performance, its improvement in single-core performance is still noteworthy. Samsung has been continuously enhancing the performance of its Exynos processors, and it remains to be seen if they can close the gap with top-tier chips in the future.
Overall, the Exynos 2500 processor shows progress in single-core performance but still lags behind top-tier chips from Qualcomm and Apple.
