A large wave of insider news about iPhone 16 has been exposed by the gods, with FaceID and screen sizes reaching 6.9 inches

Previously, there were reports that the iPhone X had introduced a bang screen design, while the iPhone 14 Pro had introduced a Lingdong Island design - and now there are reports that the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to adopt an off screen FaceID.

On May 28th, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman confirmed rumors in the latest issue of the "PowerOn" newsletter that iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16ProMax screen sizes have been upgraded to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches.

Gurman confirmed other sources of exposure in the communication, believing that the diagonal length of the iPhone 16Pro model's screen will increase by a few tenths of an inch, but this is not particularly noticeable.

The new display screen size will be the largest in iPhone history.

Gulman pointed out that this change will make Apple's high-end smartphones more competitive in front of competitors such as Samsung.

This increase may also provide more internal space for improved hardware such as camera technology and larger batteries.

In May, a display screen analyst stated that the iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16ProMax would be equipped with 6.3 inch and 6.9 inch displays respectively, with an increase of approximately 0.2 inches in size.

Afterwards, an Apple analyst and Twitter whistleblower confirmed this rumor, who provided the internal model number of the device. It is expected that the display size of the two standard iPhone 16 models will not increase, and this change will only apply to high-end models.

According to the latest report, the size increase of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 ProMax next year will bring some upgrades, including a periscope telephoto camera and a main camera sensor with an area increased by 12%.

An industry person claimed that the next generation iPhone 16 Pro model will be equipped with a larger display screen, which will provide more internal space for various components, including the periscope telephoto camera system.

It is reported that Apple plans to introduce two "Pro" models of the periscope camera into the iPhone 16 Pro model next year. Therefore, the size increase of the iPhone 16 Pro is at least partly to achieve more internal space on the smaller Pro model to accommodate the periscope camera.

As for the iPhone 16 ProMax or iPhone 16 Ultra, the additional internal space will allow for a larger main camera sensor, with a size of 1/1.14 inch. The iPhone14Pro and iPhone14ProMax are currently equipped with 1/1.28-inch sensors.

It is expected that this year's iPhone 15 ProMax will not increase sensor size.
