OnePlus 13 Industrial Design Revealed: Farewell to Curved Screens, Deep Micro-Curved Screen and Glacier Battery Take the Lead
Recent leaks from digital blogger Digital Chat Station have revealed the industrial design of the OnePlus 13. Compared to its predecessor, OnePlus 13 has undergone several upgrades. The front no longer features a curved screen, instead opting for a 2K deep micro-curved display. The rear boasts a circular camera DECO in the upper left corner as a design highlight, ditching the hinge design while maintaining the same camera arrangement. Notably, OnePlus 13 will no longer offer a ceramic version, instead focusing on a new glass body.
In terms of core configuration, OnePlus 13 features a 6.8-inch full screen supplied by BOE, marking the first OnePlus device to incorporate a deep micro-curved display. Furthermore, the device will be one of the first to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 platform, paired with a Glacier Battery boasting a capacity exceeding 6000mAh, and supporting ultrasonic screen fingerprint technology.
It is understood that, compared to traditional graphite negative electrode batteries, the Glacier Battery significantly improves the lithium-ion content in the battery, elevating the battery energy density to an industry-leading 763Wh/L. The silicon carbon content reaches 6%. Additionally, the Glacier Battery adopts self-developed high-capacity bionic silicon carbon materials. While achieving a massive capacity exceeding 6000mAh, it is smaller in size than a 5000mAh graphite battery, resulting in a lighter and thinner overall device.
Overall, OnePlus 13 has undergone considerable upgrades in both design and configuration. The inclusion of the deep micro-curved screen and Glacier Battery undoubtedly stand as the key highlights of the device. It is expected to be officially released in Q4 of this year.
