- Qualcomm today officially launched its new mid-range mobile platform, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, codenamed SM7635. The processor adopts a 12.5GHz + 32.4GHz + 41.8GHz CPU architecture and integrates the Adreno 810 GPU. Compared to the previous generation Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 boasts a 20% CPU performance improvement, 40% GPU performance enhancement, 30% AI performance boost, and a 12% overall power reduction.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 supports 16GB of memory and UFS3.1 flash storage, and integrates generative AI, supporting AI noise reduction, 200MP cameras, and 4K HDR video recording. In terms of networking, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 supports 5G millimeter wave and Sub-6, SA and NSA, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and more.
Notably, Qualcomm announced that Xiaomi will be the global first to launch the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with the first product officially debuting in September. Besides Xiaomi, brands like realme, Samsung, and Sharp will also be among the first to introduce mid-range models equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
It is reported that the first device to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 will be the Redmi Note 14 Pro series under Xiaomi. This new phone is expected to bring significant upgrades in performance, photography, and AI, making it an anticipated release.
