IT Home, August 23rd - Google today released the Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1 update for Pixel devices. The official support list includes the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, and Pixel Tablet devices.
The Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1 (AP41.240726.009) update includes new platform features, bug fixes, performance improvements, and the August 2024 security patch. IT Home users have tested the update, and it is approximately 407MB in size.
QPR releases for the Android system are major updates released quarterly by Google. QPR stands for Quarterly Platform Release. For Android 15 QPR1, after testing over the next few months, the official release is expected in December 2024.
