The Xiaomi 15 Ultra once again collaborates with Leica in the imaging department, presenting a brand new Leica quad-camera system that encompasses a main camera, a telephoto lens, a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Among them, the main camera features a 50-megapixel sensor, while the periscope telephoto lens utilizes Samsung's 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch HP9 sensor, which is currently the most advanced periscope telephoto sensor available.
Samsung's HP9 boasts a pixel size of 0.56m. In low-light scenarios, it employs a 4-in-1 pixel binning technology to combine pixels into 12 megapixels, resulting in a single pixel size of 2.24m and significantly enhancing nighttime imaging performance. Additionally, the HP9 incorporates high refractive index microlens technology, boosting light sensitivity by 12% and autofocus contrast performance by 10% compared to its predecessor.
In terms of core configuration, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a 2K deep curved screen, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 mobile platform, and offers three choices of material for the body: leather, fiberglass, and ceramic.
This news has sparked widespread interest. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, as Xiaomi's annual flagship, has always been highly anticipated for its configuration and features. If this device truly releases earlier than planned, it will undoubtedly bring a powerful wave of impact to the smartphone market.
