On Friday, August 30th, industry insider "Smart Chip Insider" released the latest weekly activation rankings for the domestic market. Data reveals that Vivo secured the champion position with a 19.74% market share in week 34, maintaining its top spot.
Specific data shows that Vivo brand holds a 14.49% share, while iQOO accounts for 5.25%, resulting in a combined share exceeding the second-placed Huawei group. The Huawei group holds a total share of 17.44%, with the Huawei brand at 15.19% and Huawei Smart Selection at 2.25%. Xiaomi comes in third with a 16.53% market share.
Following closely is the OPPO group, with a total share of 15.93%. This includes OPPO brand at 13.01%, OnePlus at 1.45%, and realme at 1.48%. Notably, OnePlus's current domestic sales are slightly lower than realme.
Honour takes fifth place with a 15.44% market share, followed by Apple at a distant sixth with only 10.90%.
It's worth noting that this ranking includes Huawei Smart Selection and realme under the OPPO umbrella, deviating slightly from conventional rankings. Following a conventional ranking, Vivo would still remain at the top, with Xiaomi taking second, Honor third, Huawei fourth, OPPO fifth, and Apple trailing behind as the last with a market share dipping below 10%.
"Smart Chip Insider" states that week 34 data confirms Vivo's continued dominance as the leading brand in the domestic market, with a subtle trend towards expanding its advantage. The top three positions remain unchanged, while Apple's sales have further declined from last week's 13.06% to a current 10.90%.
Since the third quarter began, data from eight weeks has been compiled, revealing Vivo's consistent reign for seven weeks, with only Xiaomi topping the charts once. This signifies that Vivo has already secured the top spot in the domestic market for August and is likely to hold the 1 position for the entire third quarter.
Xiaomi is on track to become the second-highest brand in August. Apple's persistent sales slump necessitates a deeper investigation beyond just waiting for new releases to understand the reasons behind its declining performance.
Current data points towards Vivo's strong rise in the domestic market, having already secured the 1 position in the first half of the year. Consecutive top rankings for seven weeks in the third quarter, along with upcoming releases like the Vivo X200 series and iQOO 13 in the fourth quarter, solidify its position as the leading brand in the domestic market.
