Huawei Mate70RS Extraordinary Master Edition Revealed: Full Ceramic Back Cover, Debut of HarmonyOS NEXT Official Version
Recently, there has been a surge of leaks about the upcoming Huawei Mate70 series, with the highly anticipated Mate70RS Extraordinary Master Edition garnering significant attention. It's rumored that this model will sport a full ceramic back cover, a departure from the previous dual-tone design. This change in design might signal an upgrade in materials and craftsmanship for the Mate70RS Extraordinary Master Edition. Additionally, the Mate70RS Extraordinary Master Edition will be available in three color options: Red, Black, and a new addition, Grey, catering to diverse aesthetic preferences.
Beyond the full ceramic back cover, the Mate70RS Extraordinary Master Edition will boast several upgraded features, including the debut of the official version of HarmonyOS NEXT and a new generation of chipset. This chipset is projected to deliver notable enhancements in performance, AI, and baseband technology. Huawei Consumer Business CEO, Richard Yu, revealed this at the Huawei HDC2024 Developer Conference, mentioning that the Mate70 series will comprise four variants: Standard Edition, Pro, Pro+, and RS Extraordinary Master Edition. While the Standard, Pro, and Pro+ models will retain the Star Ring design, the RS Extraordinary Master Edition will embrace the classic Eight Trigrams array aesthetic.
In terms of imaging capabilities, the Mate70 series will be equipped with a new 50MP 1/1.3" super-large sensor OV50K as the primary camera, accompanied by LOFIC technology, a super-large variable aperture, and an ultra-hard AR coating, potentially branded as Xuanwu coating, to elevate the photography experience. While comprehensive specifications for the Mate70RS Extraordinary Master Edition are yet to be fully unveiled, we can glean some details from its predecessor, the Mate60RS, such as a 6.82-inch 1.07 billion color display with an FHD 2720x1260 pixel resolution.
The Mate70 series is slated for a formal launch in the fourth quarter of this year, with the precise release date and pricing still pending official confirmation. The upgrades in the Huawei Mate70 series are not merely confined to hardware configuration improvements; they encompass a comprehensive revamp in software systems and design philosophy, resulting in an enhanced user experience. The launch of the Huawei Mate70 series is predicted to spark a new wave of technology enthusiasm, shaping the trajectory of future smartphone trends.
