According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, initial signs suggest that the iPhone 16 series' pre-order delivery times are shorter than those of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Vision Pro. However, Kuo also pointed out that the actual situation needs to be confirmed 24 hours after the pre-order begins. He used Vision Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max as examples: VisionPro's shipping time 24 hours after pre-order was 5-7 weeks (depending on the model or market); while the iPhone 15 Pro Max was 6-8 weeks (depending on the model or market).
Currently, Apple's Chinese website shows that customers who pre-ordered the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus can still receive their new phones on the launch day, September 20th. However, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are even more popular, with both models showing estimated delivery times around mid-October.
Research firm TechInsights predicts that the iPhone 16 series will ship more units than its predecessor, with an estimated global shipment of 73 million units in 2024. Among them, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to be the best-selling model in the iPhone 16 series, accounting for 35% of total sales. This is due to its advantages such as a larger screen, longer battery life, and the A18 Pro chip.
