Yesterday, Weibo blogger @Digital Chat Station revealed that the Dimensity 9400 will be officially launched on October 9th. Even more noteworthy, Vivo has just announced a product launch event scheduled for October 14th. According to the blogger, the Vivo X200 series flagship phones will be the first to feature the Dimensity 9400, making its debut before the release of the Xiaomi 15.
Based on prior leaks, the new Vivo X200 series will comprise the X200, X200 Pro, and X200 mini. These models might incorporate the same fiberglass material utilized in the Vivo XFold3, aiming to reduce weight and thickness. The standard X200 will likely boast a 6.4-6.5-inch 1.5K custom-made four-narrow-bezel screen from a domestic manufacturer, currently available in four color options: black, white, blue, and pink. The Pro version will feature a 6.82-inch 2K+120Hz 8TLTPO ultra-deep four-curved screen, supporting single-point ultrasonic technology. It will be available in black, white, and blue.
In terms of imaging, the Vivo X200 series is anticipated to be equipped with a periscope telephoto lens. The main camera might transition to a 50-megapixel Sony sensor crafted with a 22nm manufacturing process, incorporating a 1/1.28-inch large sensor area coupled with an ultra-wide f/1.57 aperture. The Pro version could boast a triple-camera setup with a 50-megapixel full-focal-length lens, possibly including a 200-megapixel large-sensor periscope lens. The standard version might feature a Sony-customized ultra-large sensor main camera, a 3x medium-sensor telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens.
One month later, the Vivo X200 series will officially launch, followed closely by OPPO's new offering. The OPPO Find X8 will sport a narrow-bezel centered-punch-hole straight screen alongside a metal middle frame. In terms of performance, the Dimensity 9400 supports hardware-level ray tracing, with a near 20% improvement in ray tracing performance compared to its predecessor. The new mobile ray tracing technology employed will enable similar effects to the PC-side OMM (Opacity MicroMap) technology. Furthermore, the Dimensity 9400 offers a 40% boost in NPU computing power, over 30% enhancement in CPU single-core performance, and a 25% reduction in power consumption compared to its predecessor.
