On September 18th, well-known blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the imaging specifications of the vivo X200, giving us a glimpse into the imaging prowess of this upcoming flagship phone.
The vivo X200 will feature a triple-camera system on the rear, consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The main camera uses the Sony IMX921 sensor, boasting a 1/1.56-inch large sensor size, f/1.57 aperture, and OIS stabilization.
The telephoto lens also utilizes a Sony sensor, the IMX882, with an f/2.57 aperture and 70mm focal length. This sensor features a 1/1.95-inch sensor size and 0.8m pixel size. While slightly larger than the OV64B, the Sony IMX882 excels in its more advanced circuit design, resulting in superior dynamic range, faster data read speed, and quicker autofocus. Additionally, the Sony IMX882 offers greater flexibility in image tuning.
It's worth mentioning that the Sony IMX882 camera module is incredibly slim, theoretically approximating a vertical orientation. This effectively minimizes lens protrusion, making it easier for manufacturers to design slim phones.
