Tipster Roland Quandt revealed on X (formerly Twitter) on September 18 that Microsoft is planning a more powerful new Surface Pro 11. Currently, the top-of-the-line Surface Pro 11 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X1E-80-100 chip, but Microsoft is set to introduce a version equipped with the X1E-84-100 processor.
Compared to the X1E-80-100, the X1E-84-100 boasts a higher CPU clock speed and a more robust AdrenoX1-85 GPU. Tech media outlet notebookchecks testing results show that the X1E-80-100 lags behind the X1E-84-100 by 1% in CPU performance and 16% in GPU performance.
While Microsoft hasn't officially announced anything yet, six European retailers have already listed the Surface Pro 11 with the X1E-84-100 processor, all bearing the model number "ZIA-00007". The ZIA-00007 is expected to retail for 1849 to 1929 (approximately 14577 to 15208), packing 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.
This revelation has sparked excitement for the new Surface Pro 11, with its enhanced performance and advanced graphics capabilities promising an improved user experience. However, it remains unclear when Microsoft will formally announce the product and what other configuration options and pricing will be available.
