How to Fix a Lagging Phone? Huawei Offers Four Easy Tips for a Smoother Experience!
As phones and tablets age, they may experience slow response times, lag, app crashes, and other performance issues that significantly impact the user experience. To help users address these problems, Huawei Terminal Customer Service recently shared four simple and effective tips to improve phone performance and achieve a smoother user experience.
1. Turn off Power Saving Mode and Maintain Sufficient Battery Life
In power saving mode or with low battery levels, devices will lower their performance to conserve power, potentially causing lag. It is recommended to turn off power saving mode and keep the battery sufficiently charged (above 20%).
Operation Path: Go to Settings > Battery > Power Saving Mode and Super Power Saving, and turn them off.
2. Switch to a Network with Good Signal Strength
Poor network conditions can lead to lag in applications that load network resources, such as stuttering video playback or slow website loading. It is recommended to move to a location with good network connectivity or switch to a network with a strong signal before retrying.
3. Regularly Clean Up Device Space
Excessive background applications running on the device can result in insufficient RAM and lead to app lag. It is recommended to periodically clear background applications and restart the device regularly (every 2-3 days).
Operation Path: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and pause to enter the multitasking view. Tap the trash can icon at the bottom to manually clear background apps.
Insufficient device storage can also slow down system performance. It is recommended to keep over 20% of storage space available.
Operation Path: Go to Settings > Storage to view storage space usage and clear it as needed.
4. Keep the Device System Version Up-to-date
If your phone or tablet experiences lag shortly after a system update, it is normal. It is recommended to turn off the device and charge it for more than 4 hours (ideally overnight) after upgrading. Observe if the lag persists after using the device for a week.
These four simple tips can be implemented selectively according to your needs and are expected to effectively improve phone performance and provide a smoother user experience.
