vivo X200 Series to Launch Soon: Standard, Pro, and Promini Models to be Unveiled, Featuring Upgraded Imaging and Design
As we approach the end of September 2024, more and more rumors are circulating regarding the upcoming flagship smartphones from various tech giants. vivo has officially started teasing its newest offering, releasing real-life images of the X200 Standard edition. The photos reveal that the vivo X200 maintains the design language of its predecessors, but with significant refinements. vivo proclaims, "It's much more than just imaging. The X200 Standard edition boasts a brand new color scheme, a water ripple cloud design, and a subtle wave texture, with different appearances under different angles and lighting. It evokes the dynamism of an ocean during a storm, the elegance of silk under sunlight, and the splendor of a gem after rain.
The vivo X200 Standard features a circular rear camera module, finished in black with a metallic trim ring. A blue ZEISS logo is visible within the module, while the flash is positioned outside. The back panel of the new vivo X200 Standard boasts a curved frame with a metallic design. The power button and volume controls are located on the right side of the device. The edges are subtly contoured for enhanced grip and comfort. Recent leaks have revealed two color options, with the blue version displaying a graduated ripple pattern.
Beyond the standard edition, vivo continues to tease other upcoming additions to the X200 series. Apart from the previously revealed standard and Pro models, there seems to be a model dubbed "vivo X200 Promini." Han Bo Xiao, Product Manager at vivo Communication Technology, recently teased, "Pro, yet also mini. What kind of phone is this? It's truly compact, with a narrow width and comfortable length. While the size remains the same, it's thinner. Remarkably powerful, despite the thin profile, the battery is significantly larger than the Pro Max, and the camera system is top-tier with a full range of features. Making the Pro into a Max isn't challenging, but turning the Pro into a mini is a first."
Based on official teasers, the new vivo X200 Promini is expected to offer a compact screen size while exceeding expectations in terms of battery life and camera capabilities. Positioning itself within the Pro category, this model aims to deliver a superior overall experience in a smaller form factor. Rumors suggest that the new vivo X200 Promini will feature a screen size under 6.31 inches.
Regarding other specifications, according to leaks shared by the Weibo blogger @Digital Chat Station, the vivo X200 Pro/Promini will debut a 22nm Sony LYT-81850Mp1/1.28" super-large sensor for its main camera, accompanied by True-TCGHDR+VCS3.0, single-frame 86dB HDR+0.95e- signal-to-noise ratio + real-time HDR preview. In interactions with followers, the blogger also revealed "Software monitoring shows both JN1 and 882" and "Full series equipped with telephoto macro," hinting at a diverse camera setup.
Furthermore, the vivo X200 series might employ a similar glass fiber material as the vivo XFold3 to reduce weight and thickness. It's anticipated to come equipped with OriginOS 5.0, with a major focus on AI integration. The standard edition may feature a 6.4~6.5 inch 1.5K domestically-sourced customized narrow bezel display. The engineering prototype is rumored to be available in black, white, blue, and pink colors. The Pro version is speculated to incorporate a 6.82 inch2K+120Hz 8TLTPO in-depth curved screen, supporting single-point ultrasonic fingerprint recognition and offered in black, white, and blue.
Naturally, the actual details of the new products remain to be confirmed through official announcements. For those eager to learn more, stay tuned for further updates.
