Tech media outlet sammyguru published a blog post today reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus has appeared on the GeekBench benchmark database. According to platform information, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, version 6.3.0. Benchmark results show a single-core score of 3054 and a multi-core score of 9224.
It's worth noting that there are currently three configurations of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip listed on GeekBench:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Engineering Sample: This is found in the Galaxy S25 Plus test device and has a core frequency of 4.09GHz.
- US Galaxy S25 Ultra: This version has a core frequency of 4.19GHz.
- International Galaxy S25 Ultra: This version boasts the highest core frequency at 4.47GHz.
Based on the currently released benchmark information, the international version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be equipped with the full-blooded Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, while the US version may offer slightly inferior performance.
It is rumored that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip could also be known as "Snapdragon Elite." Beyond the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, we can expect to see more phones powered by this chip in the future.
