Today, Zhou Yibo, head of OPPO's Find series product line, released a video discussing the upcoming OPPO Find X8 smartphone with product manager Jiang Yuqing. In the video, Zhou Yibo highlighted a brand new feature of the Find X8: Offline Chat.
Utilizing Bluetooth technology, Offline Chat solves near-field communication issues, allowing for seamless voice calls even in the absence of network signal. This feature is applicable in diverse scenarios, such as traveling abroad, desert treks, exploring unpopulated areas, hiking outdoors, and attending concerts.
Jiang Yuqing shared her personal experience with the feature in the video. While separated from her parents by about 100-200 meters, she successfully contacted them using Offline Chat. According to the video, the feature is expected to support communication over distances exceeding 100 meters.
Previously, the OPPO Reno12 series debuted with Offline Calls functionality, but now the Find X8 will come standard with this feature across all models, further enhancing user communication experiences in network-deficient environments.
