The end of 2024 will see a fierce competition in the smartphone market. According to blogger @Experiencemore, multiple flagship models, including the Xiaomi 15 series, iQOO 13, OnePlus 13, and even the Honor Magic7 series, are all set to launch during the last week of October (28-31). Realme GT7 Pro is expected to follow in November.
This release extravaganza will be kicked off by the 2024 Snapdragon Summit, scheduled for October 22-24. Qualcomm will unveil its new generation of flagship processors, possibly named Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Plus. Following tradition, leading Android manufacturers will then launch their pre-launch campaigns soon after the Snapdragon event, likely revealing specific release dates for their respective models.
Prior to this, MediaTek has already released its Dimensity 9400 processor. The vivo X200 series will be the first to feature this chip, launching on October 14th. Meanwhile, the OPPO Find X8 series, also equipped with the Dimensity 9400, is set for release on October 24th.
As MediaTek's latest flagship processor, the Dimensity 9400 boasts powerful performance. It features a second-generation all-core octa-core CPU, utilizing the ARMv9's latest IPBlackhawk architecture and TSMC's cutting-edge 3nm process technology. Compared to its predecessor, it delivers a 35% single-core performance improvement and a 28% boost in multi-core performance.
With the arrival of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Plus and Dimensity 9400, smartphone manufacturers are gearing up to launch their flagship devices featuring these processors. This year-end battle promises to bring more options and exceptional experiences for consumers.
