Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Rumored to Embrace Slim Design, Matching S24's Thickness
According to a recent report by Korean news outlet TheElec, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S25 FE smartphone in the second half of next year, with an estimated inventory of 22 million units. The report also revealed a design highlight of the Galaxy S25 FE: a "Slim" design achieved by reducing battery thickness to decrease the overall phone thickness.
Currently, the recently released Galaxy S24 FE measures 8 millimeters in thickness and weighs 213 grams, while the Samsung Galaxy S24 is 7.6 millimeters thick. TheElec predicts that the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE could reach a thickness similar to the S24, around 7.6 millimeters. To achieve this, Samsung may utilize a thinner and wider battery and re-design the internal circuit board layout.
The source also revealed that the screen size of the Galaxy S25 FE will be similar to the S24 FE, expected to be around 6.7 inches.
Previously, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was delayed by a month compared to expectations, and some markets even saw its release canceled. For the Galaxy S25 FE, Samsung appears to be taking a more cautious approach, but the model is still anticipated to serve as the entry-level product in the Galaxy S25 series, offering a more affordable option for users.
Samsung has previously stated their commitment to continuing the FE series in the future. The rumored ultra-slim design of the Galaxy S25 FE, along with its expected thickness matching the S24, suggests that Samsung is striving to make the FE series lighter, sleeker, and more fashionable, aiming to attract a broader range of users.
