The vivo X200 series was officially launched tonight, with the new devices showcasing another leap forward in their imaging capabilities. Multiple new image sensors make their debut, with the most notable being the LYT-818 sensor jointly developed by vivo Blueprint and Sony. This sensor, built on a 22nm process, boasts 50MP resolution, a 1/1.28" large sensor size, f/1.57 aperture, and supports OIS optical image stabilization, along with industry-leading CIPA4.5 professional-grade stabilization. It aims to surpass 1-inch sensors in both photography and videography.
The LYT-818 sensor is reportedly optimized for video recording with a 38% reduction in power consumption for 4K60fps video, a 48% reduction in power consumption for photo preview, and a 60% reduction in HDR scene power consumption. The noise reduction performance is also said to be improved by 52.5% compared to the IMX989.
Beyond the new sensor, the vivo X200 series also features the second-generation Blueprint imaging chip V3+, manufactured on a 6nm process with a 30% improvement in energy efficiency. The V3+ boasts a multi-threaded AI perception ISP architecture, which, together with the Dimensity 9400 processor, significantly enhances video recording quality.
Furthermore, the vivo X200 series integrates the BlueHeart large model into OriginOS's system layer, upgrading it to a system-level AI, providing a smoother user experience for mobile imaging.
In conclusion, the vivo X200 series represents a comprehensive upgrade in imaging, pushing the boundaries of mobile image capturing from sensors to chips and AI algorithms. This new device is poised to deliver an exceptional imaging experience for users.
