According to a recent investment note from Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Securities, the upcoming Apple iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are set to receive significant upgrades. In terms of cameras, the iPhone 17 Pro series will feature a 48MP telephoto rear camera and a 24MP front camera, a substantial improvement over the 12MP telephoto and front cameras of the iPhone 16 Pro series. Memory-wise, the new models will sport 12GB of RAM, marking a notable increase from the 8GB offered in the iPhone 16 Pro, which will boost the performance of AppleIntelligence and multitasking.
Beyond the camera and memory upgrades, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will utilize a smaller "metalens" design, resulting in a significantly reduced Dynamic Island size the first reduction since its introduction with the iPhone 14 Pro series in 2022. The screen sizes will remain unchanged, with the iPhone 17 Pro at 6.3 inches and the Pro Max at 6.9 inches.
Both devices will be powered by the A19Pro chip, manufactured using the same 3nm TSMC process as the A18Pro.
The iPhone 17 Pro series, with its enhanced camera system, increased RAM, and refined design, is poised to further solidify its position in the competitive market. These anticipated upgrades will undoubtedly attract a wider audience of consumers.
