Today, Xiaomi product manager Wei Siqi took to social media to explain why the Xiaomi 15 features an external flash instead of integrating it into the camera module. She stated that the Xiaomi 14 already achieved a top-free design, moving the original sensors to the camera module, and this design concept continues with the Xiaomi 15.

The Xiaomi 15's camera module integrates an ambient light sensor, laser autofocus, and an infrared emitter in the upper right corner, ensuring a cohesive and refined body design without compromising on user experience. Aside from the flash, the Xiaomi 15 maintains the previous generation's small-screen design with a 6.36-inch display, featuring an ultra-narrow 1.38mm quad-edge display and an aerospace aluminum unibody design, creating a sophisticated exterior.
