Xiaomi will hold the Xiaomi 15 Series and Xiaomi Surge OS 2 new product launch conference at 19:00 on October 29th. Pre-heating for the new system has already fully begun. Recently, Zhang Guoquan, director of the Xiaomi Mobile System Software Department, answered questions from users about the highly anticipated Surge OS 2, adding further excitement to the upcoming launch.

Regarding whether the 13 series models can be upgraded to the full-fledged HyperOS 2, Zhang Guoquan said, "Some special effects can't keep up, the hardware, especially AI capabilities, have improved too much in the past two years. We will upgrade as many models as possible." This suggests that although the 13 series models may be able to upgrade to HyperOS 2, they may not be able to fully enjoy all the new features, and some special effects may be limited. Additionally, Zhang Guoquan emphasized the importance of hardware performance, particularly the significant progress in AI capabilities over the past two years.

On whether the features demonstrated on the media devices are the final version, Zhang Guoquan frankly answered, "There are many more features that haven't been unlocked yet." This implies that the official version of the system released in the future may have more surprising features, and what has been shown so far is only "the tip of the iceberg."

Previously, Xiaomi announced that Surge OS 2 will be equipped with the deeply self-developed HyperCore kernel, featuring strong performance and low power consumption. As the core technology of Surge OS 2, HyperCore will bring users a smoother and more power-efficient experience. Notably, Zhang Guoquan also revealed that besides the Xiaomi 15 Series, the HyperCore of Surge OS 2 will also be adapted for other models, meaning more users will have the opportunity to experience the revolution brought by this new operating system.
