Tech media GalaxyClub published a blog post yesterday (October 29th) reporting that Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Xcover8 Pro phone and a new TabActive Pro tablet next year.
Samsung first launched the Galaxy Xcover series in the fall of 2011, and began releasing the Xcover Pro series in 2020. Since then, Samsung has alternated between releasing regular and Pro versions, such as the Galaxy Xcover7 released earlier this year, about a year and a half after the release of the Xcover6 Pro. Therefore, following Samsung's release rhythm, the Galaxy Xcover8 Pro phone is expected to launch in 2025.
The news reports that Samsung is internally testing a phone with the model number SM-G766B. IT Home provides a comparison: the Xcover6 Pro model is SM-G736B, and the Xcover7 model is SM-G556B. Therefore, this phone is highly likely to be the Galaxy Xcover8 Pro.
In addition to the Xcover, Samsung is also developing a new Galaxy TabActive tablet, and is expected to release its Pro version. The current model is called TabActive5 Pro, but may ultimately be released as TabActive6 Pro. This series also alternates between regular and Pro models, and is expected to be released simultaneously with the Xcover8 Pro.
