According to overseas tech media, detailed specifications for the Google Pixel 9a have been leaked, with a projected launch date of March next year. The phone will run on the latest Android 15 operating system and, following Google's tradition, will provide users with seven years of system updates.

The Pixel 9a is slightly larger, measuring 154 x 73 millimeters, making it taller than its predecessor, the Pixel 8a. However, its thickness remains unchanged at 8.9 millimeters. The increased size indicates a screen upgrade, and the Pixel 9a is expected to feature a 6.2 to 6.3-inch display, providing users with a more expansive visual experience.

The Pixel 9a offers four color options, including the classic Porcelain (white) and Obsidian (black), as well as new Peony (pink) and Iris (purple) colors. Aside from color choices, the Pixel 9a will also be equipped with the more powerful Tensor G4 chip, which might be Google's last phone using a Samsung-manufactured processor, with future models shifting to fully custom chips produced by TSMC.

In terms of camera, the Pixel 9a's main camera has been upgraded to 48-megapixels, similar to the sensor found in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. While the ultrawide and front cameras remain at 13-megapixels, unfortunately, the model does not feature a telephoto camera.

The Pixel 9a will be equipped with a large 5000mAh battery, a 11% increase compared to the Pixel 8a's 4492mAh battery, resulting in enhanced battery life. Despite the increase in battery capacity, the Pixel 9a's charging speed remains at 18W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.

Market predictions suggest that the Pixel 9a will maintain a price tag of $499 (approximately 3560 Yuan), aligning with its predecessor's cost. Overall, the Pixel 9a builds on the strengths of its previous generation, offering improvements in performance, screen, and battery, along with two new color options. It is expected to attract the attention of a wider user base.
