Ross Yang tweeted that Apple's first head display will be equipped with two 1.4-inch screens made of MicroOLED (OLEDonSilicon), with a brightness exceeding 5000 nits,Pixel density of 4000 pixels per inchThe resolution of each screen has also reached 4K.

With a brightness higher than 5000 nits, Apple's head display can support HDR content that is not available in the mainstream head display market.


According to Ross Yang's tweet, IT Home has attached the brightness of the mainstream head display as follows: MetaQuest2 has a maximum brightness of about 100 nits and does not provide HDR; HoloLens2 provides a brightness of 500 nits; Sony's PSVR2 head display has a brightness of approximately 265 nits, and official promotion supports HDR.

Ross Yang stated that 5000 nits is the peak brightness of the screen, and in daily use, the head display may decrease brightness, providing higher contrast, brighter colors, and better presentation effects than mainstream head displays.
