Bank of China Chongqing Branch launched the city's first corporate Digital renminbi loan business

Recently, Bank of China Chongqing Hi tech Branch successfully granted 24 million yuan of Digital renminbi loans to the government platform enterprises of the Western (Chongqing) Science City. This is also the first Digital renminbi corporate loan in Chongqing, which has achieved a new breakthrough in the promotion and application of Digital renminbi in Chongqing.

It is reported that Digital renminbi is the digital Fiat money issued by the People's Bank of China. Since Chongqing started the pilot work of Digital renminbi in April 2022, the application scenarios of Digital renminbi in the whole city have been expanding, and Digital renminbi has been applied in many fields, such as wholesale and retail, catering, cultural tourism, government payment, education, medical care and public services. The issuance of Digital renminbi corporate loans is also one of the measures to promote the popularization of Digital renminbi in multiple scenarios and fields.

Recently, with the "confirmation" of the staff of Bank of China Chongqing Hi tech Branch located in the middle road of University Town of Science City, the financial staff of Chongqing Science City Hi tech Industry Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Hi tech Industry Company") received the information that the loan had been safely remitted to the company's Digital renminbi corporate wallet at their own work station.

"Online lending in the form of Digital renminbi can realize the immediate arrival of funds and settlement upon payment for our enterprises, and its security also allows us to have no worries about the future," said the relevant person in charge of the high-tech industry company.

Yu Xin, the customer manager of Chongqing Hi tech Branch of Bank of China, said that this business can also realize the policy of fee reduction and interest concession for settlement and transfer, which further increases the convenience and availability of Financial inclusion, helps enterprises improve the efficiency of payment and settlement, and saves financial operation costs of enterprises.

It is understood that in order to efficiently promote the progress of the Digital renminbi pilot program and comprehensively promote the application and popularization of Digital renminbi in multiple scenarios and fields, the Western (Chongqing) Science City actively implements the relevant requirements of the Implementation Plan of Digital renminbi Pilot Work in Chongqing, determines the first batch of 10 regional pilot banks, such as ICBC, ABC, BOC and CCB, and takes the lead in formulating the Digital renminbi Pilot Promotion Plan of Chongqing Hi tech Zone, We have launched 11 application scenarios that cover government services, livelihood services, transportation, retail supermarkets, medical services, smart parks, smart campuses, payroll agency, large-scale conferences, internet platforms, and industrial chain supply chains.

Since May this year, Chongqing Hi tech Branch of Bank of China has responded in a timely manner and acted quickly, combining the key points of Digital renminbi pilot work in Chongqing in 2023, and cooperating with platform companies in Chongqing Hi tech Zone to jointly explore the construction of Digital renminbi innovation scenarios. In order to speed up the work process, the Bank coordinated from top to bottom and started work in special shifts, sorted out the loan issuance plan of platform companies in the region at the first time, studied and determined the loan issuance process of Digital renminbi companies, and took the lead in opening a corporate wallet for the Western (Chongqing) Science City government platform companies.
