SiFive stated in a statement: "As we identify and focus on maximizing opportunities, the company is strategically reorienting all global teams to better meet the rapidly changing needs of customers

SiFive spokesperson David Miller stated that SiFive's long-term plans remain unchanged and will continue to develop chips for artificial intelligence, automobiles, consumer electronics, and low-power devices.

Miller said that this layoff involves all departments of the company, including the executive team. He emphasized that the company's product line remains unchanged.

In addition to the existing standard plan, SiFive is reducing its business scale of providing customized designs to customers.

The valuation of SiFive in 2022 is approximately $2.5 billion. Miller stated that the company "has sufficient funds for the next few years".
