According to renowned leaker Mark Gurman, the highly anticipated iPhone 16 series will be released as scheduled in September this year. However, surprisingly, the series will not come pre-installed with Apple's latest AI feature, "Apple Intelligence."
In his latest report, Mark Gurman stated that while Apple Intelligence has appeared in the iOS 18.1 beta, Apple needs more time to refine the AI experience. Therefore, the iPhone 16 series will not be equipped with this new feature and will be pushed out via software updates in the future.
Apple CEO Tim Cook previously announced that Apple Intelligence would launch this fall. This feature aims to profoundly understand language meaning through natural language processing technology, supporting email, notes, Safari browser, Pages documents, Keynote presentations, and third-party apps, significantly enhancing user experience.
Although the iPhone 16 series will not initially feature Apple Intelligence, the series will still see hardware upgrades. Four models are expected to launch this year: standard, Plus, Pro, and ProMax.
Based on current information, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch display, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch display, the standard iPhone 16 will have a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 16 Plus will offer a 6.7-inch screen. The latter two models will adopt a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
It's worth noting that while the iPhone 16 series will not come pre-installed with Apple Intelligence at launch, Apple has not disclosed when the feature will be pushed out via software updates.
