Today, Xiaomi has rolled out a new update for Pangu OS, and a Xiaomi 14 user has reported that the phone feels incredibly smooth after the upgrade. According to reports, the new Pangu OS update focuses on optimizing app launch latency. Zhang Guoquan, from Xiaomi's Software Department, shared that the goal of Pangu OS is to ensure that apps respond instantly the moment a user touches the screen, aiming for near-zero wait time. To achieve this seamless experience, the engineering team meticulously analyzed each stage of the app launch process, ultimately approving over 20 technical solutions to improve app launch performance.

This update initially covers Xiaomi 14 series, Redmi K70 series, and Redmi K60 Pro, with plans to extend it to Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi MIX Fold3, and Redmi Turbo3 by August.

Pangu OS was first launched on October 26, 2023, with the Xiaomi 14 series as its debut device.
