Tecno, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, made waves in the foldable phone market last April with its debut foldable phone, the Phantom V Fold, powered by the Dimensity 9000+ processor. Now, the design of its successors, the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2, has surfaced.

Based on leaked posters, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 boasts a completely redesigned aesthetic. A rectangular camera module replaces the previous circular setup, housing a triple-camera unit. Moreover, the device incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the inclusion of a stylus suggests the new model will offer handwriting capabilities.

The Phantom V Flip 2 adopts a larger secondary screen and seamlessly integrates its cameras with the main rear camera module for a clean and uncluttered design.

As a point of reference, the previous generation Phantom V Fold featured a 7.85-inch 2000x2296 resolution folding inner screen using a 120Hz LTPO panel. Its triple rear camera system comprises a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2x zoom camera, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. The device was powered by the Dimensity 9000+ processor built on TSMC's 4nm process, paired with a 5000mAh battery and 45W wired charging. Unfortunately, it lacked wireless charging.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip boasted a 64MP main camera (1/1.73-inch sensor, f/1.7 aperture lens) and a 13MP ultra-wide camera (120), accompanied by a 32MP front-facing camera with autofocus. It showcased a 6.9-inch OLED display with a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, a 4500mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and was powered by the Dimensity 8050 processor.

Based on available information, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 undergo a dramatic transformation in design, incorporating features like handwriting functionality. Their specific specifications and performance remain to be officially revealed. It's anticipated that these new models will continue Tecno's exploration of the foldable phone market, delivering an enhanced user experience.
