The smartphone market is bracing for a fierce battle as the release dates for the flagship processors, MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4, draw near. Multiple new devices featuring these chips are expected to launch in October, including the vivo X200 series, OPPO Find X8/X8 Pro, Xiaomi 15 series, and iQOO 13.

vivo X200 series: The First to Feature Dimensity 9400

The vivo X200 series will be the first to showcase the Dimensity 9400, offering standard, Pro, and a smaller screen version, all equipped with 1.5K domestic OLED displays. The standard and Pro models are expected to feature slightly curved screens, with battery capacities exceeding 6000mAh. The Pro version will also boast ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking. The smaller screen variant is anticipated to feature a 6.3x-inch straight screen design, a periscope telephoto lens, and wireless fast charging support.

Close on the Heels: OPPO Find X8/X8 Pro

Following closely behind the vivo X200 series is the OPPO Find X8/X8 Pro. The standard version will be available in black, white, blue, and pink, featuring a 6.7-inch 1.5K straight screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. It houses a 5600mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Pricing: Crossing the 4000 Threshold

It has been reported that the price of the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen4 chipsets has increased. Other brands will adjust the prices of their new devices based on the pricing strategies of vivo and OPPO. Considering the starting price of 3999 for the previous generation, these new models are expected to surpass the 3999 mark and officially enter the 4000 price range.
