US Stock Futures Edge Higher, Sony Price Hike Boosts Pre-Market Gains

Sony announced that the PlayStation 5 will see a price increase in Japan starting September 2, 2024, with prices rising by 13,000 to 15,000 Japanese Yen (approximately 642 to 741 Yuan). Following the announcement, Sony's US shares gained 2% in pre-market trading, reaching $94.73.
Additionally, SpaceX has cancelled its scheduled "Polaris Dawn" spacewalk mission originally planned for August 27. SpaceX stated the delay was primarily due to a discovered helium leak.
Nvidia unveiled further details of its next-generation GPU architecture, Blackwell, at the recent HotChips 2024 conference. Jamie Coutts, a cryptocurrency analyst at financial education platform RealVision, believes that Bitcoin's price trajectory will continue to be in "batshitseason" unless there's a fundamental shift. He predicts that if Bitcoin follows previous bull market patterns, it could surge over 100% from its current price of $64,000 to hit $150,000 by year-end.
Market research firm SNEResearch released a report forecasting that the global charging infrastructure market will grow from $44.1 billion in 2022 to $418.2 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32%.
