While the "Pro" models in the Android camp often seem to lack the same excitement as their standard counterparts, their sales have been steadily rising in recent years. Although their sales numbers still lag behind the standard models, each brand defines "Pro" differently. Any increase in sales compared to the previous generation is considered a win. This is why each manufacturer spares no expense on their Pro models, investing heavily in premium features. These devices serve as a platform to boost brand influence and showcase their technological prowess.

On September 3rd, well-known tech leaker "Digital Chat Station" revealed information about the upcoming Pro models that are set to launch in the fourth quarter. He mentioned the Xiaomi 15 Pro, vivo X200 Pro, and OPPO Find X8 Pro.

According to his information, all three devices will feature a massive over 6000mAh silicon battery, single-point ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, IP68/69 water and dust resistance, and a narrow, curved screen with equal space on all sides.

However, there are some key differences between these models, primarily in the following three areas:

1. Processor

The Xiaomi 15 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (global debut), while the vivo X200 Pro and OPPO Find X8 Pro will both be built around the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, with the vivo X200 Pro expected to be the global first.

2. Imaging

The main difference in terms of imaging lies in the telephoto lens: the vivo X200 Pro is expected to feature a 200MP single periscope telephoto lens, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to have a 50MP single periscope telephoto lens, and the OPPO Find X8 Pro will definitely utilize a dual-periscope telephoto lens. The main and ultra-wide-angle cameras should be quite similar across all three devices. Moreover, each model has partnered with a renowned imaging brand: Leica for Xiaomi, Zeiss for vivo, and Hasselblad for OPPO.

3. Screen

The Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to have a 2K resolution screen, while the vivo X200 Pro and OPPO Find X8 Pro will feature 1.5K resolution screens. The leaker mentions that only one of these Pro models will have a 2K display, making the Xiaomi 15 Pro the likely candidate.

Of course, there might be some minor differences in X-axis linear motors, craftsmanship, and materials, but these are inconsequential and unlikely to affect the user experience or purchasing decision.

Overall, this wave of Pro models in Q4 boasts impressive specs. Ultimately, the victor will be determined by which device excels in performance, imaging, screen, and other core aspects.
